President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to tackling security threats and violent crimes in Nigeria.
At the closing ceremony of the 2nd African Military Games in Abuja, Tinubu commended the Armed Forces for their success in hosting the event, emphasizing the importance of unity and collaboration in addressing shared challenges .
Tinubu praised the military for showcasing unity and camaraderie, which transcends borders and strengthens ties across the African continent. He noted that events like the African Military Games promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being, and pledged to pursue stabilizing solutions across the continent as the Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States .
The President also called for deeper ties among nations and a stronger sense of camaraderie among military personnel to achieve success. He commended the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, and the OSMA President, Major General Abdullahi Maikano, for their leadership and dedication in making the event a success .
Tinubu's administration has been working to address the security challenges in Nigeria, including counter-terrorism efforts, deployment of non-kinetic measures, and initiatives to address the root causes of violence .
