The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) successfully rescued four accident victims on Monday evening following a collision between two buses on the Third Mainland Bridge.

According to Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, LASEMA's Permanent Secretary, the accident occurred when a white Toyota Coaster bus attempted to overtake a car and crashed into a parked Lagos State BRT. The incident resulted in significant damage and injuries, with four people, including the driver, severely injured. Fortunately, no fatalities were reported .

LASEMA's emergency response team was activated after receiving distress calls through the 767 and 112 toll-free emergency lines. The team arrived at the scene and extricated the trapped passengers, providing pre-hospital care treatment before evacuating them to nearby government-owned hospitals. The white Coaster bus was then towed to Iyana-Oworo and handed over to the police, marking the completion of the recovery operation .
